Nicole Winter Tietel is President and Chief Compliance Officer of Winter & Associates, Inc., an independent Registered Investment Advisory firm founded in 1908. As the fourth-generation leader - and first woman to lead the firm - Nicole has spent more than 31 years helping individuals, families, and business owners navigate important financial decisions and build their legacies. After 25 years operating within a broker/dealer environment, Nicole successfully transitioned Winter & Associates to an independent RIA in 2021, enhancing the firm's ability to provide objective, client-focused advice. As of 2nd quarter 2026, the firm manages more than $180 million in client assets.

Nicole has been recognized as a trusted voice on financial planning and wealth management, with previous commentary featured by regional and national media outlets. 

A dedicated community leader, Nicole has served in numerous nonprofit and professional leadership roles, including with The St. Croix Valley Foundation, Dodge Nature Center, the Junior League of St. Paul, St. Paul Academy Parents' Association, The Ordway, and MN Children's Hospital. She is a former president of the St. Paul Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and served as President on the national board of the Securian Women's Interactive Sales Exchange.

Nicole graduated with honors from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science degree. She lives in Afton, MN with her husband, Michael, and enjoys spending time with her family including her two adult children, Shelby and Riley, their chocolate lab, Hayden and golden retriever, Hunter.

A passion for data has been foundational to Shelby’s career from the beginning. Her strongest performance is at the intersection between analytical, creative, and personable – helping to take data and translate it into intentional strategic decisions.

After earning her Bachelor’s of Science in Management from Boston College with a focus in Data Analytics and Marketing, her career started in Boston with Wayfair. In 2022, after moving back to Minneapolis, Shelby worked for The Ovative Group focused on where to invest clients’ marketing dollars to maximize their returns. Having joined Winter & Associates in October 2024, she is excited to be applying these concepts to the world of financial management as a 5^th generation family member.

Shelby grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, which helped solidify her love for the Twin Cities, historic architecture, and antiques. She loves hosting dinner parties for friends, playing in a pickleball league, cooking, travelling, tennis, and golf! She currently resides in Lake Elmo, Minnesota with her husband, Cole.

Stephanie Morgart is a skilled management professional with over a decade of client relations experience. She has directed a network of more than 1,200 community volunteers and collaborated with dozens of program teams to ensure seamless transitions for children and families pursuing life-changing opportunities.

Her career began as a Case Manager for St. Vincent's Foster Family Services in New York. After moving to the Twin Cities, her passion for supporting families in need led her to teach at Turnquist Child Enrichment Center. Over the next eight years, she served in various coordinator and management roles at Jeremiah Program, a non-profit serving single mothers and their children. 

As part of the Winter & Associates team, Stephanie is valued for her strong creative skills, attention to detail, and collaborative abilities. She joined the firm in the summer of 2015 to apply her administrative and data management strengths to helping clients realize their dreams.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Family Services from the University of Northern Iowa. After over 15 years of living in the Twin Cities, she and her family moved to Iowa in 2021 where she continues to work for Winter & Associates remotely. In her free time she enjoys getting to the gym, enjoying nature, and volunteering at her church and her son's school.

In 2017, during his hour-and-a-half Chicago commute to his first job after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from Augsburg University, Taylor started listening to a financial podcast on Spotify. While many people may have considered it to be very dull and boring, he considers it the reason he made the career change to pursue his passions in finance. He’s been learning in the industry ever since.

Taylor puts his investment and portfolio analysis skills to work to help ensure clients’ accounts have the proper allocations and strategies for each individual’s financial needs and objectives. His values of hard-work, family-first, and ethical nature make him a great fit in finding individually suited investments.

Taylor grew up on a small farm where he fell in love with hard-work and the outdoors.  While currently living in Maplewood with his wife, Leah, he spends his time away from work on family, fishing, hunting, and playing many sports such as golf, tennis, and especially cornhole!
